Cedar Backup v2.14.0 released
Cedar Backup v2.14.0 has been released. This release makes some changes
so that Cedar Backup always uses a stable locale (specifically, $LANG=C)
when executing programs internally.
Lukasz Nowak discovered that the split extension gets confused if a
non-English locale is set, and these changes are a generalized fix to
that problem. The changes should be entirely transparent to end-users.
As usual, you can find the changelog here:
http://cedar-solutions.com/ftp/software/changelogs/cedar-backup2
You can get the latest Python source package from this URL:
http://cedar-solutions.com/ftp/software/CedarBackup2-2.14.0.tar.gz
You can get the latest Debian package from the Cedar Solutions APT
source, or from this URL:
http://cedar-solutions.com/ftp/debian/dists/lenny/binary-i386/admin/cedar-backup2/cedar-backup2_2.14.0-1_all.deb
Users of the Debian 'unstable' distribution can also install the latest
Debian package from their favorite Debian mirror.
Note that after this release, I will no longer be providing updated
packages for the Debian 'oldstable' release, codenamed sarge. The Cedar
Solutions APT source for sarge will go away permanently sometime late in
2007.
Please write the list if you notice any problems with this release.
