I don't have a lot of time to spend on Cedar Backup right now because I
started a new job.  DVD support is low on my priority list because I
don't personally need it.

Eli Spizzichino was working on adding DVD support, but I haven't heard
from him in a while (since late October).  I don't know whether he's
still interested.   At the time, he was also investigating other backup
solutions besides Cedar Backup, so I'm not sure whether he decided to go
with something else or if he has just run out of time to work on
enhancing Cedar Backup. 

The last I heard from Eli, we were discussing exactly how to refactor
the code in writer.py so as much as possible of it could be shared
between the CdWriter implementation and the DvdWriter implementation,
possibly creating some base class for both of them to inherit from.  It
also sounded like he needed to add code to work with growisofs as well
as a DVD-writer program. 

Anyway, it doesn't matter much since I won't be able to officially
integrate any changes into Cedar Backup for a while yet even if someone
can provide them.  I just get time to work on Cedar Backup for a few
hours here or there a couple of times per month.

Sorry again that I wasn't able to respond sooner.
